Indian Journal of Ayurveda & Alternative Medicines impose Article Processing Charges (APCs) to defray the expenses of processing manuscripts, conducting peer reviews, creating journals, hosting and archiving them online, and maintaining open access to all content. To support the costs associated with open access publishing, manuscript handling, and maintaining the highest publishing standards, Indian Journal of Ayurveda & Alternative Medicines levies an Article Processing Charge (APC).The following is a synopsis of APC journal details:
APC Structure :
For Authors from India : INR 5000
For Authors from Other South Asian Countries : $100
For Articles with Female Authorship : $100 (regardless of the country of origin)
For Authors from Rest of the World : $150
Fee-Waiver Program :
Indian Journal of Ayurveda & Alternative Medicines understands that some authors may face financial constraints. In our commitment to ensuring that financial barriers do not impede the publication of valuable research, we offer a fee-waiver program.
Authors can apply for a fee waiver which may reduce the APC by up to 50%. The decision to grant a waiver is based on the financial needs of the author(s) and the merit of the work submitted.
To apply for the fee-waiver program, authors should requests for waivers at the time of submitting the manuscript in the comment for Editor Column.
APC Payment and Timing :
The APC is due after a manuscript has been peer-reviewed and accepted for publication.
Invoices will be sent to the corresponding author or the institution funding the research, as specified by the authors.
Payment instructions will be included in the invoice, detailing acceptable payment methods.

Refunds :
Once an article has been published, the APC is non-refundable.
In cases where an article is withdrawn by the author before acceptance, the APC may be refunded or waived.
Transparency and Use of Funds :
APCs are used directly to cover the costs of managing the peer-review process, journal production, online hosting, and indexing, as well as ensuring that articles are freely accessible immediately upon publication.
Indian Journal of Ayurveda & Alternative Medicines operates on a not-for-profit basis, and all fees are reinvested into maintaining and improving the quality and scope of the journal.
