Abstract
Sedentary lifestyles for extended periods of time are linked to a weakening of the core muscles and bad posture, which ultimately results in discomfort in the musculoskeletal system and a reduction in functional capacity. As a specific solution for these difficulties, Pilates-based workouts that place an emphasis on core strength, flexibility, and alignment have gained popularity in recent years. the usefulness of a Pilates-based exercise program as a means of enhancing core strength and posture in people who lead sedentary lifestyles for a period of twelve weeks. Instruments for posture analysis and core strength assessments were utilised in order to evaluate the participants both before and after the intervention. The findings revealed considerable enhancements in the endurance of the core muscles, the alignment of the spine, and the general stability of the postural position. In addition, participants reported experiencing less back discomfort and a greater sense of overall physical well-being as a result of the intervention. The findings indicate that Pilates-based exercises provide a realistic and effective alternative for correcting core weakness and postural difficulties in adults who are sedentary. This highlights the significance that Pilates-based exercises play in promoting musculoskeletal health and minimising the negative consequences of inactivity.
