Abstract

Childhood obesity is a significant public health concern associated with numerous adverse health outcomes. Understanding the nutritional intake and dietary patterns of children with obesity is essential for developing effective interventions and preventive strategies. This cross-sectional study aimed to assess the nutritional intake and dietary patterns among children with obesity. This study provides insights into the nutritional intake and dietary patterns among children with obesity, highlighting the need for targeted interventions to promote healthier eating habits and prevent further weight gain. Strategies aimed at increasing the consumption of fruits, vegetables, and whole grains while reducing the intake of energy-dense, nutrient-poor foods are crucial for addressing childhood obesity and improving long-term health outcomes. Further research is warranted to explore the determinants of dietary behaviors in this population and develop tailored interventions to support healthier dietary choices.
