Abstract
Targeted drug delivery systems have revolutionized pharmacology by offering enhanced efficacy and reduced side effects compared to conventional drug delivery methods. This review explores the principles and advancements in targeted drug delivery, emphasizing their impact on therapeutic outcomes. Key topics include the design principles of targeted delivery vehicles such as nanoparticles and liposomes, strategies for achieving site-specific drug release, and examples of successful applications in treating various diseases. The potential of targeted drug delivery systems to improve patient compliance and overall treatment outcomes is also discussed. This abstract aims to provide a comprehensive overview of how targeted drug delivery systems are transforming pharmacology, offering a glimpse into the future of precision medicine.
