Abstract
Allergic rhinitis (AR) is a common condition characterized by inflammation of the nasal mucosa in response to allergen exposure, leading to symptoms such as nasal congestion, sneezing, itching, and rhinorrhea. Conventional treatments for AR, including antihistamines and intranasal corticosteroids, are associated with side effects and may not be suitable for all patients. Homeopathic treatments, which involve the use of highly diluted natural substances, have been proposed as an alternative approach for managing AR symptoms. However, evidence regarding the efficacy of homeopathic treatments in AR remains limited. In this randomized controlled trial, we investigated the efficacy of homeopathic treatments in AR compared to placebo and conventional treatments. Participants with a diagnosis of AR were randomly assigned to receive either homeopathic treatments, placebo, or conventional treatments for a specified duration. Outcome measures included symptom severity, medication usage, quality of life, and adverse events.
